Aplestia

A fun little RPG. Maybe 6 hours to beat, longer if you're going for 100% complete. You get a pre-made party of an archer, swordman, hammer wielder and a mage/healer. There are no stealth elements and you can see the enemies & avoid some. Not a large map. One main town with 2 lesser settlements. A couple of cave systems and a forrest to navigate while questing. Standard turn-based combat. Well worth your time and money.

Another great little game by Orfeas Game Studio. Short but entertaining. jcraine said there are too many statuses and never enough money. I always sold my old equipment and the random gems you can find, furthermore there are healing chalices, where you are healed completely free of charge. You just have to walk a bit to reach them [spoiler] later you can teleport for 50 Gold [/spoiler]. So I did not experience any problems there. Some enemies are not that easy to beat, but you always manage. At level 19 with the best gear equipped the last boss was a piece of cake ^^ I'm looking forward to the Aplestia remake. Maybe we get some more [spoiler] tsiku tsiku apocalypse ^^ [/spoiler]. :)

Man, I have very mixed feelings about this game… On one hand, I did find myself enjoying this very tongue-in-cheek adventure about four misguided and mostly dimwitted “friends”. On the other, there were SO MANY little things that frustrated the hell out of me! [u][b]Let’s start with the good:[/b][/u] For the most part, battles are pretty straight forward. The classes for each character are fairly interchangeable, but essentially, you have 3 physical-focused characters and 1 magic-focused character. Honestly, I didn’t notice much of a difference in damage output between the 2 (magic and physical), and it was pretty tough to compare, due to enemies perma-dying. Each character can dish out a fair amount of damage on their own, and they each have their own form of support spell. Even so, they mesh together well enough to make a fairly cohesive unit. All-in-all, not a terrible system, but I’ll leave my nit-picks for later. The story is sold as “light-hearted, unepic, fun, [and] cynical,” and it pretty much hits the mark. I would recommend this game, but not for the price that I recall paying for it. Anything more than $2.99 is a ripoff for this game. It kept me busy and my adhd happy during work today though.

Should have been fun but wasn't. I've tried playing this game three separate times but there's too many bad statuses thrown on you during battle and there's never enough money to buy the potions you need. The story is weak too.

quite fun turn-based RPG game, it's simple and personally i think this could be enhanced a lil bit more, like more maps and stuff. Music quite annoying tho, especially in Doctor Gertrude's house. Minor bugs issues during playing so far can be solved by restarting the game
