Its mediocre combat in actively boring maps. You start the game, make your way through the poorly translated dialogue and get to pick your weapon. Pick. Not try. You lock-in your choice without having any opportunity to try them. Your weapon will come with 4 skills, so if you like it you're fine, but if not... the fastest way to get 4 skills for any other weapon is to legit start the game over; actual shops to buy weapons and such are locked behind metaprogression. You go do first mission and you're forced to play as someone other than your MC anyways, so right away, your choice didn't matter. Why make me choose so early then? If they happen to have the same weapon you picked, you'll notice they play... exactly the same. A lot of the appeal of this game seems to be unlocking the new characters and its one of the main things devs have added, but far as I can see, its because they're extremely low-effort. There is funtionally 0 difference outside of minor stat ones if I take Jeane's weapon and skills and give them to the MC. I play 100% like she did. Speaking of how it plays, bad. The maps are huge, sprawling affairs where you just run past far too many groups of identical enem…

Before I start, despite the game being cheap, I still highly recommend getting this game on discount. This is a MIXED review, leaning towards not recommended. Arisen Force had a decent premise, but extremely poor, lazy, and boring execution. It's an Extremely Janky game with so many bugs that made it annoying. It really felt like this game needed more time in development and it's quite disappointing and I'm actually quite glad I got it on discount. First, Story. It's pretty much straightforward no bs, goddess summons you to stop big bad. It's a pretty simple premise. The issue comes from the dialogue. Some would probably argue that it's because of the translation but I feel like even if it was translated better, if all the characters say are 1-2 sentences, it would still have no substance. Not only that, the mc was summoned from another world and normally that would be fine, but there's so much 4th wall breaks that tries to be funny but obviously fails because of the combination of poor translation, delivery, and concept. Second, Characters. It's a game where you use historical and mythical characters to stop the big bad. None of them actually matter in the storyline, since the…

The game is beautiful, but it's a glitchfest. The equipment system I find it kinda meh. The only variation within a weapon's class (ex 1h Sword) is Quality. It means that your storage will fill up with so many useless equipments. Also...you get right from the beginning so many items you have no clue about how they work. The dialogues are kinda weird and off, most likely the result of a trash translation. In the end...I personally think the game is worth if you really like old school ARPGs and Beat Em Up games.

I love this game! There are so many positives, so I’ll start with the negatives first. Cons: 1. There isn’t much story. If you’re looking for a game with a rich narrative, this isn’t for you. 2. There’s no item to teleport out of dungeons (at least as far as I’ve played). On some maps where you go to farm, you have to walk back to the warp gate to exit the dungeon. Pros: 1. The combat is really fun. 2. You can freely build your character and reset at any time. 3. Many of the character designs and art are great. 4. The tag team system is enjoyable (though the AI could use some improvement—they rarely dodge strong bosses). 5. Hidden bosses are really tough if you don’t prepare, but they’re fair. If you learn their patterns, you can win even at a low level. 6. Time fly fast when you play this game

I like this game simple and addictive. The over the top anime style for the women are not for me. I like Anime but realistic to a point haha.
