'Art House' is a 2D puzzle platformer in which you play as Lisa, a woman who becomes trapped with her children inside the paintings of her recently deceased mother. The game features a fully voice acted, narrative driven story told through memories and evolving paintings, magical paintbrush mechanics that allow players to restore broken objects, move platforms, and repaint the world, hand drawn 2D environments inspired by Impressionism and Post Impressionism, environmental puzzles that combine platforming, object manipulation, and strategic enemy avoidance, dynamic layer switching through tears in the paintings to navigate between the foreground and background, multiple enemy types with unique behaviors (including patrolling, lurking, and rip chasing), and a single Steam achievement. The game took me about 20 minutes to complete, including unlocking the available achievement, and features a single ending with an automatic save after each level. The straightforward gameplay makes it accessible to players of all skill levels, with clear instructions and a simple objective of guiding Lisa through beautifully crafted paintings while solving puzzles and uncovering her family's past. A quick fun game. Beautiful art and good difficulty level. I loved the story and the game worked in its short form but honestly I was a bit sad when it was over and completed :(

Oof. I came here for the free and easy 100%, but there's more to this game than just the quick gameplay. Kinda like To The Moon, it tells a painful and touching story if you're paying attention. Well worth the play. Since it's a student game, I do want to also call out the movement controls. It's just a bit too slow, makes movement frustrating. That could be intentional since this is closer to art than to a typical puzzler/platformer, but could probably use a slightly higher movement speed.
