STORY
Inspired by personal stories. You play as Annie, an elderly woman whose memory is starting to betray her. Annie and her children cope with reversed caretaking roles as she moves from her long-time home. absolutely incredible. this is so well thought though and really touches on the truth of this disease. i work in hospice and i suggest to the younger family members for patients to play this game now. it's very very well done. thank you for this.3 found this helpful

It was a bit of a rough game for me to play. My grandma also had dementia and at the end of her life I didnt spend much time around her anymore because I didnt get along with my dad well and because I was really scared she wouldnt remember me. I wish I could have showed her more how much I loved her and what a wonderful human she was in general. this game made me feel a bit closer to her and even though Its quite short and I got some motion sickness I'm happy I played it and its absolutely worth the time. Saw the trailer on IG i think maybe last year, worth the wait and worth buying it. I'm already on my 2nd walkthrough and it still hits... Would definitely keep it on my PC and play it all over again once in a while.
It's a nice short game, even though not as touching as some of the reviews claim. I think they did a good job showing something that is very hard to explain if you haven't experienced it yourself. I got this game in a bundle with The Berlin Apartment and it is quite similar in many aspects: the art style, scenery, limited interactions and a good story. One downside is that this game is not fully voiced over, what made it worse in my opinion is that they decided to still add some sounds to the characters: they would often sigh/moan/yawn when another sentence appears, which is an odd sound design choice and it takes me away from the immersion. I'd much rather not have any human sounds at all than that. But it doesn't happen with every sentence, so it's bearable. I'd recommend it only in a bundle and/or with a discount. Or if you're particularly interested in the topic, because there are very few games (nothing comes to mind, actually) that touch it. It worked well on Steam Deck, however I had to use the magnifier hotkey to read some text in just a couple of places.
