Just how I remember the original from over a decade ago.
game seems cool and i know it's old but damn the combat sucks butt
Unable to even play it...real dissapointment
Ascend is a pretty fun free to play experience, a fairly competent beat em up game with some multiplayer elements. Unfortunately since the game seems to be abandoned by the devs the game is quite dead and it can be difficult to engage in the multiplayer aspects as the game was designed for. If you download and play this with the intent of just playing the game solo for the story and enjoying the hack and slash gameplay you can still have a good time but be aware the playerbase is pretty non-existent. Over the course of 14 hours I definitely enjoyed my time and it stands out as one of the better free games here on Steam.
Just what i remembered from early 2000s Xbox 360 Era, I remember unlocked the avatar cosmetics from this game too... good times, good game, runs smooth on Steam Deck
