Even after coming out of early access this game feels somewhat unfinished; the developer added elements to the game that were not fully realized. For example, you can get increased loot and gold gain, not that it makes a significant impact on the progression. You can level up and find loot for all these different characters, but the game is not long enough for you to even max out one of them. The bosses drop a few different items that can be equipped to increase stats such as damage and movement speed, I have not noticed a significant loot variety (hence I don't see a point of loot stat). The characters occasionally gain new abilities, although they are few and far apart. The best part is unlocking those characters and trying out new moves, some of them include improved platforming elements. Each character also has an alternative skin which is a welcome feature. As a platformer the game is somewhat niche, I don't know how else to describe it (it's mediocre). I personally enjoyed it for what it was, if you like grinding stats it can be fun for a few hours. It took me only like 3 hours to beat so I did not even get a chance to try all the characters, on that note, the game would be …

Often times many games lack balance. They can be beautifully designed, fully realized, and still lack any semblance of balance. This is not one of those games. This game has a modern edge while harkening back to the days of side scrollers. Packed full of delightful surprises, challenging yet fun bosses all set in a strange yet surprising 2d, world this game should very well surprise veteran gamers and new gamers alike. A gorgeous soundtrack, simple yet stylistic visuals and estoteric gameplay. I found myself playing for hours at a clip. I won't lie, some of the boss fights are very challenging, but always unique. It's been years since I played a side-scroller so satisfying and so well realized. This game is a unique and satisfying experience. Imagine Mario on LSD.

It's a bit like "Majora's Mask" meets "Super Mario World". Very charming game with, from what I played, only one or two kinks that could stand to be worked out. https://youtu.be/ZBmyZzlcOBE

This game reminded me of an old school Sega Genesis game I used to play so I was eager to give it a try, and was happy to find it had all the fun with none of the hair ripping balance and control issues. Love the style and trying levels over again with different masks to find the best one for a situation. I've played with both a keyboard and a controller and both handle great.

Fun game, cool music and unique character playstyles! The dev is very responsive, I reported a bug and he resolved the issue in a hotfix shortly after. I can see this games potential and I can't wait to see where it goes in future updates.

The creator of this game ran a Kickstarter and abandoned it. Backers were never informed of the Steam release, nor were they given the Backer Rewards they paid for. The last Kickstarter update was April 22, 2016, and backers were subsequently surprised to find this game for sale on Steam. The game seems fine so far; the graphical style is coherent and interesting, gameplay is entertaining; but the unethical behavior of the developer is alarming.
