Assassins Guild is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, KuKo. These guys do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into cheap nasty shovelware game bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. This time, it's an RPG Maker asset flip. Gamers sure hate RPG Maker. So yes, this is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any ded…3 found this helpful

A game about a professional hitman who approaches his work with diligence and care. The player must thoroughly research their targets to avoid mistakes and cover their tracks. Featuring a retro pixel art style, the game offers a challenging blend of puzzles and exploration - but one wrong move forces you to restart the entire experience. Despite this high-stakes gameplay, the controls and mechanics are easy to learn. Additionally, the well-organized world ensures players don't have to wander aimlessly to find their objectives. Overall, this title provides an immersive and compelling narrative experience.1 found this helpful
For less than 99 cents I cant be mad at it. love the pixel graphics, you get the illusion of choice. Whole game beatable in under two hours. Feels more like a very short visual novel. Don't expect the best game ever from it.
Assassins Guild is a compact indie adventure developed by KuKo in collaboration with Mustella Games, and published by KuKo. It presents a retro-inspired top-down experience that blends stealth, light action, environmental puzzles, and narrative progression into a deliberately modest but focused journey. Rather than attempting to deliver a sprawling open world or a complex systems-driven sandbox, the game frames itself as a contained story about identity, consequence, and escape from a life defined by violence, using classic design sensibilities to support that theme. The story follows Jonathan, a seasoned assassin who has spent years working under the shadowy umbrella of a professional guild. Having grown weary of killing and the moral weight that comes with it, he seeks a way out, only to be tasked with one final mission before earning his freedom. This setup establishes a familiar but effective narrative motivation, grounding the gameplay in a sense of purpose rather than simple mission hopping. The plot unfolds gradually through exploration, NPC dialogue, and contextual clues, favoring implication over exposition. While the narrative is not deeply branching or choice-driven, it…
