⚡
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3477173506 Assault Armored Girls War Vasileia is a very promising third-person roguelite project developed by a very small team. Cute anime girls in exosuit armor. Dynamic gameplay with both ranged and melee combat, tons of weapons and upgrades. It's not easy to clear rooms at first, but you can exploit ranged weapons to take down enemies pretty fast, taking advantage of corners with the laser gun is just the best option. (Don’t even bother with melee!) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3477173368 What do I expect to see in the future? I really think the developer should add Z-targeting. The game only works with a gamepad, and for me, it’s pretty hard to aim with ranged weapons. Most of the time, melee attacks miss because of this too. Keyboard and mouse support would be a great addition. In the future, I’d love to see more enemy variety, bigger bosses with cool patterns, not just recolored robots. https://steamcommunity.com/s…17 found this helpful
Despite looking like genuine project of passion game is in too dire of a state to recommend it to anyone. It may look like 3d beat'em-up character action game, it is not. It's a shooting game, and extremely janky one at that. And it has no kb+mouse support. Yes, shooter without mouse aiming, good start. Movement has very strange weight/inertia that makes jumping/dodging and even turning around feel like you are road roller on ice. Light melee attacks have absolutely tiny hitbox and due to abformentioned turning issue if you turn your camera and attack, it would "land" not where you looking, but where you were ~1 sec ago. Heavy melee is even worse. It has innate gimmick, that it has some i-frames at the startup and if you take damage during that period attack gets significant damage boost. But here's the funny part : getting hit by any melee and some shots will push you either back or to the side. Couple that with comedically small hitbox and "boosted" heavy melee will only ever land once in a blue moon. Ranged weapons aren't immune to jank either. Some can infinitely stunlock it's victim. Bots being the way they are may do it sometimes, player on the other hand .…5 found this helpful
Fun little game. Overall, an improvement over the developer's previous work “Bikini Hunter”. Game is now running at 60FPS and there’s more weapons to try out. You fight in arenas against enemies that can utilize similar moveset and weapons as the player, kinda like Armored Core. Enemies drop new weapons, customization items and upgrade currency. Of course, expect some jank, but there’s a certain addictiveness to this formula, so I think it’s worth checking it out. Special thanks for some smexy costumes. <3 Few small wishes: - Ability to control menus with D-Pad. (There’s a lot of options in customization this time around, it would feel much snappier with D-Pad) - Option to make the font and UI a bit bigger. (Some text is really small, so maybe even increase font by default)5 found this helpful
Vasileia is a very intriguing game, found it in my social media timeline and had to get it, played it blind. While I did enjoy my experience the game is not without faults, for me I can tolerate most things more than others but I see the issue more than enough to warrant people away from it. Immediate criticism is the mandatory tutorial, which would be solvable if there is a skip feature, which unfortunately in my playthrough i found none. At times it felt like the tutorial dragged on longer than necessary. Another issue is the gameplay itself, specifically the combat aspect. In both the player and hostiles, the bullets can be dodged simply by walking, which is a benefit for the player especially when overheated and cannot dodge, but a detriment to using any weapon other than the assault rifle, as I find the enemy to dodge away at weapons that require precise aiming. Melee combat you have to be very skilled and predict on where the enemy is, especially with super melee attacks, otherwise it will leave you wide open for a counter attack. Not only that the enemies can and will gank you into a combo if you're not too careful leaving no downtime to escape at times. Not to s…2 found this helpful
