It's a 3D fighting game. You'll enjoy this game if you are familiar with EXVS / GVG. If not, you'll have a very long onboarding period before you stop getting wrecked in pvp. Also, it runs on gacha, so keep your wallet open.1 found this helpful

If you wanted something more fast paced than Xenoverse but still that anime flair, and a lot of badass ladies. This has it all. Nice quick arcade style battles, easy to hop in whenever, and doesn't really need much to grind, but you'll find yourself wanting to grind anyway b/c it's just good old fashioned fun you'll keep coming back to. Worth every penny spent in game, but you don't need to spend any at all to enjoy it. While the game is whale friendly, playing without spending is very easy as it has no pay to win structure, only a pay for cosmetic fun. Skill & combat sees no real difference whether you max out a character or have them at baseline stats. If anything, it makes you play smarter. Already clocked in close to 90 hours as of this writing & I've really only played a month of last season & then this season. The combat format keeps me coming back for more tho.

Very good game! I really like the mecha musume design so far
A friend who is also really into anime and games with NPR visuals recommended Starward to me. I trust his opinion very much so I was keen to check it out. Have played some if it now. Wow! Well, gameplay-wise it's not my jam, but the 3D characters! Really nice! This is some truly worldclass 3D anime character modelling. The silhouettes of the characters are really distinct and makes them easy to distinguish from a distance. The organic parts fits perfectly in with all the hard surface meshes. The Shadow Maps are putting light in right areas and makes for very appealing anime faces. What impressed me the most was how tastefully the artists at Shengtian Games implemented MatCap to show off metallic reflections without breaking the anime aesthetic! That was a real note-to-self-moment and something I will explore for future projects. Then there is the rigs! Holy heck. Separated upper and lower body movements, very complex and intricate mechanical designs, many limbs and armor parts, weapons. On top of all that, many characters has additional skins. That's one helluva production to pull off. I have nothing but respect and admiration for the work and talent that has gone into thi…
