This game sends unencrypted data back to their servers. This goes for passwords too. Unencrypted means that hackers can intercept and copy your password as plain text. Sensitive data should always have end to end encryption. Please up vote for awareness.

Why would I ever launch this...

"Astral Quester" looks like a gacha mobile app, although I couldn't find it on app stores. Still, it's got all the same qualities right down to the canceorus MTX infestation, there's a mobile app cash shop in this as the devs try to scam PC gamers as if we're mobile peasants. No, we're not mobile peasants. Anyway, everything in this game revolves around getting you going just enough that you'll be punished for not giving all your money to the cash shop. Scummy. This has some really mediocre looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarly visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. This isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showe…

I tried it out cos I wanted to play Artery Gear on my PC. Gacha games just blow up with each update it seems. Unfortunately it failed to scratch that same itch as Artery Gear. The Art for Artery Gear was even better, even though this one didn't necessarily lag behind all that much. Still. If I wanted art or lore I could just dig these jpegs off of the internet. In that case, you're better off figuring out who the art design team is behind this and to make the art more enjoyable, maybe just take the art and adapt it to a rules lite table top ruleset. Maybe a DIY card game or index RPG.

The game probably is dead, I can't even get into it.
