TLDR; Very beautiful space exploration. Pick this game up and explore some sectors! I think there are some more UI work that needs to be done, and some other QoL updates. Still the developer has been updating this game fairly constantly and I am excited to see where this one ends up.8 found this helpful
On paper, it checks the boxes for a sandbox-y space exploration game. Procedurally generated sectors to explore, check. Ship customization, check. Resources to mine and collect, check. New technology to unlock, check. Unfortunately, every sector just feels repetitive and boring. Combat is a complete letdown with your ship auto-targeting the closest enemy and no way to control what weapons are firing or at what targets. New technology is "researched" at your home station by buying it with random resources. The new player experience just drops you into the game with no explanation of what you're doing, how to get your first ship out of the station, or why you should care about any of it. If you're looking for a 2D space sandbox game, there are much better options available. Take a look at Star Valor, StarCom, or Vanguard Galaxy.2 found this helpful
