About Atama
ATAMA is a stealth horror game set in an isolated Japanese village. Full of devilish puzzles and sinister creatures, with a gameplay focus on seeing through the eyes of enemies, ATAMA aims to deliver a fresh experience to the genre.
Kaede's family had always told her stories about eccentric Aunt Noriko, but she's a superstitious old woman, living so far outside of the city. She has no phone, no Internet... Kaede only knew her via infrequent letters... until they stopped coming.
Distant relatives drift apart all the time, but the last letter was different: Desperate ravings about "your birthright" and "the family curse". What did any of it mean?
Kaede decides to hop the next train out to Kisaragi. To Aunt Noriko.

Go to abandoned village where giant screaming, crying and flying heads will attack you. There is story mode that says it disables the enemies, but it doesn't.2 found this helpful
Solid! I like the way its mechanics test working memory - it leads to the game feeling a *lot* different than most stealth and/or horror games, and there's a lot of joy to picking apart each setup. The core concept is twisted enough with every level to keep things feeling fresh all the way through, and dev commentary is always a fun inclusion for replay. In terms of production values, it's *very* obviously low-rent and the enemies are quite silly, but it still manages to have enough "realness" that I was able to feel immersed. 5 minutes in, get jump scared by giant screaming baby head. I now have traumatic response picking up my child and hearing baby babble. 10/10, would get traumatized again.2 found this helpful
Atama is a banger >:) Very fun to play and speedrun, highly recommend. It reminds me a lot of the Sightjacking gameplay mechanic in Siren, which I really enjoyed. Looking forward to attempting Hardcore mode1 found this helpful
