It's a pretty jank indie. I actually don't mind traversing the map all that much, with the exception of these lights that change every 30 seconds or so which can prevent you from double jumping or do harm to you. They're all over the place and waiting for them to change to an acceptable colour reminds me of playing something borked liked CV2: Simon's Quest. Combat is very basic and feels unpolished as well. You can double jump, move left/right and have a slash attack. Defeating enemies sometimes relies on waiting for them to be in the right spot of a hallway so you can safely execute a slash on them without being hit yourself. The mapping in the game is kinda fun, it updates as you explore nicely. There are levers all over the place and I don't think it marks which levers you might have missed (So you better make sure you hit them the first time you spot them!). There are other janky things you wouldn't expect in a polished game, like enemies at your teleport/spawn locations wailing on you, or walking up to you while you try to read a sign or talk to an NPC. The thing that's keeping me from recommending this game is the overtuned bosses. It's not just that they are very…5 found this helpful
I like the ancient egyptian theme and it has great mechanic ideas for a game, but I can hardly recommend it when it's lacking so much polish. I know the game is designed to be difficult, but there is a thin line between difficult and frustrating and when you feel like you keep dying to no fault of your own, it becomes frustrating. The melee attack hitbox needs to be checked because most of the time, when you hit an enemy you also get hit. I saw 2 boses so far. Both of them send stuff flying from off screen with barely any time to react. One of them is the crocodile making waterfalls that instantly one-shot you. The space to stand between the waterfalls is way too small when it's always a guessing game if you are standing in it or not. The cherry on top is the game freezing whenever you try closing it as if a global loop is still going on. My guess is the light loop. Overall I would give this game 6/10. The amount of work and care put into it can be seen and it could be a great game, but as it stands right now I can't recommend it.2 found this helpful
Great game if you like the metroidvania genra. The graphism are inspired of the retro games and give a NES game ambiance. If you like to die and retry, give it a try2 found this helpful
