Was good, many updates later they broke/ruined everything fun. No idea what that was about. never seen a game get WORSE over time as much as this.3 found this helpful
**Not Recommended** I received a review copy of Atomic Picnic through Keymailer. Just like all of my reviews, getting a free copy doesn't change my opinion. If I like a game, I'll say it. If I don't, I'll say that too. Atomic Picnic is one of those games that sounds amazing on paper. A 3D co-op roguelite where you're blasting through hordes of enemies, building crazy loadouts, and flying around the map with movement abilities? Sign me up. The problem is... somewhere along the way, that excitement just never showed up. The game isn't terrible. In fact, I actually think the foundation is pretty solid. It just feels really shallow right now, like it's missing that one thing that makes you want to queue up "just one more run." I kept waiting for the gameplay to click, and it just never did. One thing I do have to give the developers credit for is the art style. I really like how the game looks. It's colorful, stylized, and has a lot of personality. The music, though... I don't know how else to explain it, but it reminded me of something you'd hear in a Home Depot commercial. 😂 It just didn't match the energy of the game for me. games fun but is ruined with bugs to the point i cant unlock things because challenges don't progress also if you want to play with your friend good luck as whoever isn't host will deal with game breaking bugs like freezing, locked menus, horrible connection and pain pain pain. I really wanna like this game but its so short and nothing works properly. will prob come back if fixed and change my review1 found this helpful
the game is fun but if you're in multiplayer and NOT the host, you will encounter every bug in the known universe. gunplay is fun synergies are fine enough but content is lacking. i would say this game is worth 8 dollars tops. any other price and its easily outcompeted edit: this is a game you can beat and still have enough time to refund the game and review it.
