A precision platformer that has a very... bizarre control issue. It isn't something that's repeatable on command, which makes it impossible to work around. Every so often the game just eats an input. No jump for you. First few times I could chalk it up to skill issue. Failing to jump twice and just walking off cliff? Not so much.1 found this helpful
Short, simple and unfortunatelly flawed game about a pea that jumps on platforms, collects coins and diamonds. First good points: + Art style is nice, crt filters are nice touch. + Soundtrack is there, nothing to sing about but it's working, couple simple melodies on loop. + It's short and achievements are easy. And the cons: - Awfully stiff controls, especially on jump. - On train levels the moving background breaks. It is supposed to imitate movement of the train but suddenly trees stops, then skybox. Weird. - There is 25 levels but only like 5 background variations. - There are minor bugs regarding placement of the safe spots, character sometimes sink through spots that supposed to be solid. If it was normally for one dollar, that's fine price for simple 2 hour no brainer. But regular price in my region is 6 usd and yeah, it ain't worth it sadly. I bought it from external store or got it in some bundle, art style caught my eye, I waited years to play it and I'm a bit disappointed.
A fairly challenging old-school precision platformer game. The level design was great throughout, and I loved the graphical style.
Nice gimmicky game that goes on huge sales often. The normal price is a bit high but getting an 80% or so discount is common.
Simple and charming platformer that sadly is held back by control issues and some level design. Levels were either very simple or very difficult with little to no in-between. The levels where orbs come up from the ground as you try to navigate downwards were especially painful. Even with all this in mind, I enjoyed most of my time with Awesome Pea and therefore give it a hesitant thumbs up.
Took 2 and a half hours to finish 100%. Soundtrack slaps. Reminds me of The Messenger. Fun. Unsure why I can't do the second jump if I fall without jumping first, but whatever. Will check out the second one. Thank you.
