Aztecs: The Last Sun tasks you with building Tenochtitlán into a sprawling island empire while appeasing capricious gods through rituals and sacrifices to push back an eternal darkness imposed by the Moon Goddess. Blend city-building strategy with mythology-driven storytelling across multiple game modes, from a challenging campaign to pure creative construction, all while managing resources, divine favor, and the looming supernatural threat.
- Construct over 25 unique building types, each upgradeable across four levels except the Story-Exclusive ones.

The overall premise of the game is solid: a fallen Aztec society, struggling to rebuild with oppressive outside forces holding you back. If that were actually the game, that'd be great, but the real game feels like: click the right buttons in the right order to win. Let me give a very simple example: the very beginning of the game tells you "evil is coming, we have to defend" but, as it turns out, you can just ignore that entirely and build as much as you want (really: as much as you can) because there is not actually any pressure. This may be the only point in the game you get to decide what you, the player, want to do. You have a limited resource that only begins generating after the early setup phase, but before that you actually have a good bit of freedom to think and build your city the way you want. After that, you have a bunch of things that will happen to you, mostly without your input, and be forced to deal with in an extremely linear way. Research "choices" feel like a facade: you have to research things in a specific order otherwise you run into a cascade of failure conditions. I would label this game as a scam and they abandoned it with a ton of game game breaking bugs and just walked with the money. I wouldn't trust any game by this studio that they have or plan to release.8 found this helpful
