Backrooms Lost Unit

Honestly a really good, solid Backrooms game. I added it to my Backrooms folder I have on Steam. I'd say I'm pretty picky when it comes to Backrooms games, I'm just happy it wasn't just another walking sim and had entities/puzzles. I highly enjoyed this game, definitely excited for the new levels, glad this is also getting updates and not dying out on us like some others! 10/10, would recommend adding this one in to your list of successful Backrooms games. :3

Backrooms Lost Unit approaches the increasingly familiar Backrooms concept as more than a simple tour through unsettling hallways. It combines first-person survival horror, exploration, scavenging, environmental puzzles, hostile entities, and cooperative play into an experience built around the uncertainty of being trapped somewhere that does not obey ordinary rules. Developed and published by JD Archives, it is currently an Early Access project, so its existing content should be viewed as the foundation of a game that is still being expanded and refined. The central appeal comes from exploring a collection of strange levels while searching for resources and some possibility of escape. Ten levels are available in the Early Access version, and the intention is for them to feel meaningfully different rather than like minor variations of the same yellow corridors. Different layouts, environmental characteristics, puzzles, interactions, items, and mechanics help prevent exploration from becoming entirely predictable. I received this game as a gift because one of my friends is obsessed with Backroom games, I love Backrooms and the lore as well, however a lot of the games that come out of the Backrooms genre are very sloppy and feel like cheap cash grabs. This one especially is one. I had played a similar game called "Inside The Backrooms" I like it enough to have six hour of game play. After one hour of playing "Backrooms Lost Unit" resembles "Inside the Backrooms" so much its T for T level design but low effort. It is very disappointing, there is nothing unique that I can say about this game besides that it referenced Kane Pixels movie, but even then, it's nothing original. I refunded it.

One of the better Backrooms I have played. Excited for the full game!
