About Backrooms: Realm of Shadows

Backrooms: Realm of Shadows is a horror game that takes place in a seemingly endless maze of interconnected rooms and hallways, known as the Backrooms. The game is based on the popular internet creepypasta about a mysterious place that exists between the walls and floors of buildings, a place where people can become trapped and lost for days, weeks, or even years.

In the game, you play as a person who has become trapped in the Backrooms, and your goal is to find a way out before the endless maze drives you insane. The Backrooms are a surreal and unsettling place, filled with strange noises, flickering lights, and mysterious creatures that seem to be watching you from the shadows.

As you explore the Backrooms, you'll need to find keys, solve puzzles, and avoid dangerous traps and obstacles. You'll also encounter other lost souls who are trying to escape, but not all of them can be trusted. The deeper you go, the more unsettling the Backrooms become, and the harder it is to tell what's real and what's just a figment of your imagination.

Backrooms: Realm of Shadows is designed to be a tense and atmospheric horror experience, with a focus on exploration, puzzle-solving, and survival. It's a game that will keep you on edge from start to finish, as you try to find your way out of this terrifying and otherworldly place.

UNIQUE LEVELS

In The Backrooms: Realm of Shadows, there are different levels or layers of the Backrooms, each with its own unique characteristics and challenges.

THE ENTITIES

In The Backrooms: Realm of Shadows, there are several entities that the player can encounter throughout the various levels of the Backrooms. These entities are typically hostile and dangerous, and encountering them can be deadly.
Encountering any of these entities can be a terrifying and deadly experience, and players must exercise caution and use stealth to avoid them.

partly unplayable with intention from the devs, for one, pressing pause only has the option "load game" and wont even let you un pause the game, 2: the level in the attic does not register fall damage properly again intentional design from devs, i went from 98% health on the bottom post and trying to jump to the boxes just kills you instantly, its not that hard to properly impliment physics into a game, heck roblox did it so it really cant be that hard but yet again from the amount of time the game has been out, im pretty sure if the devs gave a crap they would have fixed this, the games been out since 2023, im 100% sure if the devs gave a crap then they would fix this

I thought this game was gonna be good with the optimization I could do to make it work on the low end PC I have but the moment I start the game, the settings reset entirely and now the game is just unoptimizable garbage

2.2 This was not great. There is absolutely no onboarding or tutorial or text based story or anything. It was trial and error to find that left click was even interact to begin with. I will give it some credit some of the environments and such felt like they had a slight bit more effort put into them than just a quick asset flip. But it's core game is very much just spam clicking interact around all the walls to find any switches you can and repeat this to find what the switch even opened. A handful of the areas of monsters which range from outright annoying in the way or so pointless they have no reason to be there. A couple areas have a bit more of a 'puzzle' aspect in that it might require you to jump off a certain place, input a code from around the environment or interact a bit different but they aren't much more interesting than everything else. I just feel you would be much better to play a handful of the other countless backrooms games but all things considered, this wasn't the worst I've played of them and I WAS at least entertained enough through the majority in a way with my low bar. The full game at some point was instead made free, so with it I have the full t…
