About Bail Force: Cyberpunk Bounty Hunters

Welcome to New Rise City

In a futuristic city ravaged after war, criminals and automated combat units run rampant. Avenge your fallen friends and secure your next payday through lethal force or mercy.

Adaptive Combat System – Enemies That Learn

Daring to push action roguelite design further, Bail Force introduces the Adaptive Combat System, a feature where enemies analyze your preferred fighting style and evolve to counter it.  Your habit of using melee or ranged attacks will be countered by the next wave of enemies. With diverse types of enemies and procedural generation, no battle is ever the same.

Add-On Upgrade System

Collect and combine add-ons to change your playstyle. Become a living weapon that overwhelms enemies with sheer force and dynamic movements. Active skills that trigger with every dash and jump, passive abilities that hurt enemies back or protect you when you take damage, enhancement to your melee and ranged attacks, you decide what to combine and integrate to your character.

Arrest System and Two Playable Characters

Choose between lethal force or arresting them to serve the justice system. Arresting gives you more money than simple kills, and can change your ending if you do enough of them. Want to find out what awaits your character at the end of the hunt? You can try arresting for replayability and multiple endings.
You can play as Angel, a traumatized student out for revenge armed with a DIY exoskeleton, or Lea, a professional bounty hunter with nanite implants, fighting to uphold a promise to a friend. Want to make Angel less obsessed with revenge, or make Lea more trigger-happy and merciless? it is all up to you.

Classic Arcade Action Meets Modern Roguelite Progression

Feel the adrenaline rush of classic 2D action games and think fast, because the enemy learns from your habits, and they won't wait to finish you. Beat them and survive.

Procedural City Hunts

Hunt criminals through broken cityscapes, suspicious buildings, criminal hideouts, and more. Adapt and deliver retribution to the criminals, with style.

Honestly, I'm really enjoying this game, but there are a few things that need some work. Like, sometimes the platforming can be a bit wonky. You'll be like, "Okay, I'm on the ground," but your character's still floating in mid-air. And the controls can feel super stiff, when you're trying to catch those bad guys. Plus, it gets a bit repetitive after a while, even with the different locations and all. But, despite all that, the game's got some really cool ideas, and it's not just about smashing everything in sight, you've gotta think strategically to catch those baddies. Hopefully the devs will sort these issues out soon!

Bail Force is a really challenging (and extremely fun) game with an open ended weapon and strategy options. It reminds me of "Edge of Tomorrow" (2014) a.k.a "Live. Die. Repeat..." where you will respawn everytime you die and have to come up with a new weapon and/or strategy to be used in the next cycle until you beat the boss. The enemies are hard to beat at first, but after you find "the flow", you will get them eventually. Anyway, at the time of writing this review, I have only beaten the first boss. Wish me luck :)

so this is my quick review after playing for around an hour pros : - fun combat loop, like the way the melee attack land on the enemies or fire when you need to avoid the them. - cool music, tbh some of the music like in the lobby is my jam - 2 characters as small variety to the gameplay with small differences - casual gameplay but not that easy, the enemies are challenging in a good way - like the humor and sarcasm-ish dialogues cons : - bad music and sound effect mixing when in the gameplay, need to slower the sfx sound first before i'm comfortable playing, some of the sfx are too loud than the others - minor bugs i found my character walk in the air with no platform XD. also i found when the "enemy clear" UI displayed and my character in the middle of toxic gas the health keep decreasing and make me dead even though i clear the enemies. - i know that the gameplay is more fast paced, but i can't counterbalance the movement of the projectile of the enemies especially the boss fight, they seem not in some kind of rhythm perhaps or it's just me (maybe the developer can add some UI to anticipate an attack from the boss at least it help the player to move fast and think strategica…

I like how simple and nostalgic the graphic is, and to my surprise, the game mechanics are quite challenging. Not what I would have expected at the start. This game has potentials.

The game has some potential. Thoughs need to be polish at some part like enemy balancing and item drops but it's a good game by overall. If you like rougelike games, give it a shot!
