I strongly recommend Baron of Blood for those who enjoy platform games and beautiful pixel art. Baron of Blood was a delightful nostalgic journey, combining a good soundtrack, excellent pixel art, and a nice variety of environments and enemies. It's a challenging game, as is typical for this genre, but the difficulty is fair. You need to be careful with your jumps—nothing too extreme, but there are definitely some tricky sections, which I appreciate. The gameplay is simple and works very well. I didn't encounter any bugs or issues. Overall, it's a pleasurable game to spend time on, a 10/10 platformer for me.1 found this helpful
I am a big fan of McCaw on twitch. After watching the stream where he played this game and gave the backstory I had to have it. To be honest, it has been a really fun game to play. It reminds me of some of the old PC platformers I used ot play back in the day and I really enjoined it.1 found this helpful
This game is both enjoyable and visually captivating. The art style takes me back to the games of my childhood, evoking a sense of nostalgia. It's a wonderful blend of modern gameplay and classic charm.
An original mix of platform and battle Castelvania like. The exploration of the levels are quite nicely done; to unlock some places and come back with a timer. The only thing I was missing is a lash :D
For Baron of Blood, I would like to give a neutral review, but I don't want to give it a negative one either. The game is charming, but the abrupt camera mechanic gives me motion sicknes and makes the exploration frustrating, causing unnecessary deaths and ultimately making me abandon the game (I finished it, but would like to explore it again for the achievements). The common falling platforms also make backtracking hard, even on the first stages. Overall, I liked the game, but I feel I could enjoy it more... Maybe the developer can tune these details via updates if he wants.
Fun game, hack and slash and good level design.
