Bars and Balance is a relaxing puzzle game with minimalistic graphics. In each of the 50 levels the game offers you have the same task, remove a certain number of bars, and make the whole structure not fall over. It’s not a very long game, but definitely deserves a recommendation for puzzle fans when it goes on sale. Bars and Balance is also a good pic for Achievement Hunters, since each Puzzle rewards its own Achievement.

Bars and Balance is a physics puzzle game. The music creates a soothing ambience and the graphics/UI are quite nice, but I'm not a fan of the whole 'feel' of the game. Everything feels a little slow or sluggish, although the game works fine either way. There are 50 puzzles where you have to find the correct pieces to remove in order to keep balance, usually needing multiple tries per level and taking note of where your 'construction' fails so you can try and counterbalance another way next time. Really, it was a rather fun experience as far as puzzle games go. I did get two levels where the whole thing went crashing down but not quick enough for the 'Congratulations' prompt to appear, meaning they both counted as if I finished them legitimately. That's weird, but excusable I guess as it only happened in 4% of the levels. The game has no replayability and is only half an hour long, so keep that in mind while purchasing. Overall, a sweet and short physics game with 50 levels, testing your logic in balancing out structures by removing the right blocks.

Relaxing game where you test your skills in creating balance. The game is simple to play and has a relaxing vibe. Each of the 50 stages is made up of several blocks stacked on top of one another. Your objective is to remove the required amount of pieces in such a way that the remaining pieces don't fall on the ground. In other words, there must be balance. There is also physics involved, as parts will react appropriately if they fall from heights. However, it is rarely unfair. The correct solution will never fail due to physics oddities, although there are a few solutions in which the pieces remain stationary for the requisite number of seconds before falling down. Some puzzles can be tricky, but you can generally solve them by trying several approaches. There aren't many possibilities each stage, so you'll just have to experiment. The gameplay is complimented by soothing music and various colorful pieces that change color each time you start a stage. Each finished puzzle earns you an achievement, making the game rewarding.

It's quite restrictive and easy (AKA boring), but physics puzzle games are a bit rare on Steam and this is pretty cheap. It'll fill the void for an hour and give you like 50 achievements. I wouldn't call it high quality gaming. Meh.
