Pretty cool concept that could've used some more work to make it something pretty great. It's alright in its current state.

Игра 'Battle Sweeper' - это захватывающий микс классического сапера и элементов стратегии. Поначалу может показаться простой вариацией на тему разминирования, но чем дальше, тем больше удивляет своей глубиной. Вместо бездумного тыканья в клетки, здесь приходится учитывать не только цифры подсказки, но и возможности юнитов, каждый из которых обладает своими уникальными способностями, позволяющими эффективнее обнаруживать мины и обезвреживать их. Боевая система добавляет адреналина - неудачный ход может привести к атаке противника, а грамотное использование тактики позволяет обойти ловушки и уничтожить врага. Продуманная прокачка и разнообразие миссий делают процесс увлекательным и не дают заскучать. Графика простая, но функциональная, а музыкальное сопровождение создает нужную атмосферу напряжения. За сложностью придется попотеть, но награда за успешное прохождение уровня того стоит. Рекомендую всем любителям головоломок и стратегий, желающим чего-то нового и необычного.

Minesweeper lovers, this game is for You!

I've only played this game for 15 minutes and I'm already invested in it. It is one of the most different games out there, and although it doesn't have a very big following, it's amazing.

Battle Sweeper is a really clever twist on Minesweeper that I found much more engaging than simply copying the original formula. Instead of losing immediately after revealing a dangerous square, I get thrown into a turn based battle against the monster I uncovered. I liked this change because a mistake becomes another gameplay situation rather than simply ending my run. The Minesweeper side still works exactly how I want it to. I have to read the numbers, make deductions and decide which squares are safe while trying to clear the dungeon. The added combat gives me another layer of risk because sometimes I will deliberately reveal something dangerous knowing that I have a chance to survive the battle. Combat itself is deliberately simple. I can attack enemies or use potions to heal, and the fights are designed to get me back to the puzzle quickly rather than becoming a separate RPG system. I think that was the right choice because a more complicated combat system could easily have distracted from the Minesweeper foundation. I also enjoyed the character choices. The Knight, Rogue, Lizard and Wizard each provide different difficulty levels, which gives me another reason to experime…
