About Bean Stalker
About the game
The branches reach up to the sky, and the beanstalk provides a link between Earth and the Upper world. Every continent and every climate rises from the underworld. An endless horde of creatures descend from the sky and crawl out from the depths. You must hunt and adapt to a new way of vertical life. Become a Stalker of this New Realm. Use your Blade Slammer and turn into more than a hunter of this new world.
Evolve, create, develop to be the most skilled among all, and defeat the spirit of the tree on top.
- Endless variations
Every time you put on your headset, the realm of the beanstalk will be different. The game includes procedurally-generated random vertical worlds with immense verticality, sandbox-like elements and constantly changing quests and challenges. You will never solve a quest or find an adventure the same way twice, so do not forget to make the best shots of your gameplay.
- You cannot climb the same way twice
Use your Blade Slammer not only for face-to-face fights but to wander around the branches and reach the top. Experience the feeling of real climbing with the unique vertical platform elements, from the comfort of your own room.
- Survive
Unique challenges wait around every corner. Beware of the creatures of the beanstalk; they have already fought their way to the highest branches for the sweetest of saps. Defeat them to gain the most valuable resources.
Don't hesitate to leave the tree and save your skin. You can always come back wielding better equipment and be ever ready to defeat the foes that block your path to the top where you will face the spirit of the tree
- Craft
You’ll need to craft different tools and solve quests to reach higher levels and face the spirit of the tree on top. You can craft swords, crossbows, shields, grenades, and grappling hooks to make your movement more efficient across the branches. Don't forget to use your Book of Crafts!
We are truly excited that the third Stalk is available now as a free update. The Arctic level update adds even more content from additional weapons, enemies to fresh puzzles, a new boss, a unique temperature system, and a completely new environment.

Bean Stalker is a bold and physically engaging VR-exclusive adventure that leans heavily into the strengths of virtual reality while demanding a great deal from the player in return. Developed and published by VR Storm Studio, the game is built around a deceptively simple concept: climb a massive, ever-changing beanstalk that stretches from the ground into a hostile and mysterious upper world. In practice, this premise becomes the foundation for a complex blend of vertical traversal, survival mechanics, crafting systems, and combat, all designed to be experienced through full-body interaction rather than abstract controls. The most defining feature of Bean Stalker is its emphasis on verticality. Unlike traditional VR games that prioritize horizontal exploration or room-scale arenas, this title is almost entirely about upward movement. Players physically grab, pull, swing, and climb their way through twisting vines, branches, and mechanical structures, making every ascent feel earned. The procedural generation system ensures that each climb is different, rearranging paths, enemy placements, and resource locations so that no two runs are exactly alike. This unpredictability adds ten…1 found this helpful
It's a shame that this game is not supported anymore. 3 of my friends and I discovered the game recently after it went on sale. Tons of fun with 4 player co-op with lots to do.1 found this helpful
This game is like uncooked pizza. The topping looks good, the cheese smells delicious but the dough is raw. If you paid full price for it you probably would like to get some kind of recompensation but because it was super cheap you just dig in and feel ill later… [Core gameplay] there is not much to complain about, you have the basic task of climbing to the top of the stalk, collecting resources for new blueprints and lastly killing the boss of the level. Sometimes you encounter special islands that provide you with more materials to craft with. [Option] in this game are bare minimum. I found it disappointing that there was no option to enable “virtual crouching” to help people who don’t like to bend their knees. [Crafting system] I have no idea who approved it but I bet this person never tried to craft items in bulk. To craft something you don’t need to chose specific blueprint form the book All you have to do is place the CORRECT amount of required items on the crafting table. It might seem alright at first but when you start crafting items like ammo it becomes tiring because not only every item and amount must match if you put anything else on the ta…1 found this helpful
