Full review: https://thegamehoard.com/2026/05/09/picking-up-steam-beware-planet-earth-pc/ Beware Planet Earth’s tower defense gameplay is decent but a bit unambitious, the towers, lane layouts, and aliens working well enough to provide levels that require some thought to overcome… at least until you factor in the Zapper. The little ray gun adds a layer of constant involvement yet comes with the drawback of it breaking down if used too much, but with levels designed around its constant use it goes from a tool to let you be more involved in taking out Martians to a bit of a nuisance. It doesn’t require much strategy to hold down the left mouse button and the gun’s presence clearly impacted how powerful individual towers were allowed to be, Beware Planet Earth not completely sacrificing tactical tower building but losing some of its focus in pursuing a rather plain form of active involvement.

An enjoyable and (not said lightly -I like tower defence but rarely find one I enjoy) good looking tower defence. What appears simple turns out to be quite challenging too. Not bad for the casual tower defencers out there.

Best TD, Period!

One of the most unique and engaging tower defenses I've ever played. The different "lives" system from others in the franchise like Kingdom Rush or PvZ leads to a lot of creativity in map layout, enemy types, and defense strategies. Also, the music is phenomenal, with the main theme being the highlight for me. I left it open on my PC while I went to do something and unironically enjoyed the music playing in the background while I did stuff.

Beware Planet Earth is a humorous tower defense strategy game developed by Lightmare Studio and published by Jumping Ram. Built around a playful science-fiction premise, the game takes the familiar mechanics of defending territory from waves of enemies and wraps them in a colorful story about aliens invading Earth for one very specific reason: stealing cows. Rather than presenting a serious alien invasion scenario, the game leans fully into a lighthearted and cartoonish tone, turning the classic trope of UFOs abducting livestock into the central conflict of a whimsical strategy adventure. The result is a tower defense experience that balances traditional mechanics with comedic storytelling and charming presentation. The narrative begins in a quiet countryside where strange crop circles begin appearing overnight, followed by mysterious cow disappearances. Soon it becomes clear that extraterrestrial visitors have arrived and are systematically abducting cattle using their bizarre technology. Players step into the role of the farm’s unlikely defender, constructing a network of machines designed to stop the invading Martians before they can reach the cows. Assisting the player through…
