Loving this game so far! The metroidvania gameplay is slick and responsive, the world is alive with interesting creatures and lore, and the unique photography mechanic gives it a novel twist. This game seems to have criminally slipped under most gamers' radar based on the number of reviews but I hope it starts to get the attention and recognition it deserves. Highly recommended!

A bunch of loosely connected rooms filled with dangerous stuff that wants to kill you. Improvise some tools to temporarily soothe or distract them to make your way between checkpoints. Find hidden stuff to make all of this easier. The checkpoints are generous, experimentation is highly rewarded, and the secrets range from "well obviously i need to come back to this later" to "Oh my god why didn't I think of this sooner". No bosses, no difficulty spikes, and thank goodness. I was able to actually clear this one.

Love the art style! I enjoy the UX of the (Planetfall) and (The Cycle: Frontier) world exploration aspect, and Bioframe hits the similar setting vibe for me. One major immersion breaker is the pc controls are Jank. Some keys can't be remapped.

This game is an interesting twist on the metroidvania genre. You have no weapons, and you start with nothing but a camera. It forces you to investigate the various creatures and robot to find a way to get past them, by distracting them with ether food or fear, or just straight up paralysing them with the camera, the more info you have, the longer they are paralysed. The map is easy to get around with a helpful map to show you where you have been and where all the coloured doors are. I had a lot of fun exploring the colony and finding many of the secrets. Bioframe Outpost is a game about observing and learning the behaviour of the various creatures that inhabit the different biomes of a space station and using them for your own advantage. Every problem the game throws at you can be solved in a myriad of ways for example by using distractions using the camera to stun key targets or using interactions between different creatures for your own advantage. This game is an easy recommend for everyone that enjoyed the outer wilds, although i should mention that it is slightly more challenging mechanically.
