what a special game. i'll preface this review by reminding you that you can play it for free (i'm definitely getting the supporter bundle now, though. these people need to make more games), so why are you even looking at reviews? play it and if you like it then you won't have been spoiled in advance. now, if you need some convincing.. i appreciate that the devs listed their influences in the steam description, because i'm delighted to say they seem to truly, deeply understand all of them, and made something unlike anything i've ever played before in the process. i'd describe this game as a kind of reverse metroid, which is something i would think was ridiculous if someone told me that prior to playing it, but it works so well. there's things to discover in every direction and i haven't even seen it all yet. the progression slowly brings it from a meditative, slow journey to a blazing fast movement-heavy fun freeform platformer and even the endgame (where a lot of these kinds of games fumble) is delightful and wraps things up perfectly. you really need to play it to believe it, it's unbelievably well-crafted and the art direction is also just wonderful

i played this game for a little bit, and i enjoyed it!!! I still don't understand what exactly i have to do besides giving those rainbow shards to butterflies, but i think i'll get it soon,i find this game satisfying in a way
