I enjoyed this game for about 5 hours and nearly finished it. It's a simple 2D platformer with very little backtracking required. Great visual theme. It could use some updates though to fix known soft locks. I just went looking for one missing upgrade and due to the area design in a specific place I cannot get out. Can't go forward, back, teleport, or reload to a previous save. The issue has been known for almost 2 years now with no update or reply from the Dev Team.3 found this helpful
It's a simple straight forward linear platformer with some light combat but honestly I had a fantastic time with it. It has a great isolated atmosphere, really pleasing pixel graphics, and the controls are super responsive.1 found this helpful
Elevator soft lock killed first run and minimum 3 times playing the exact same sequences to get all achievements...1 found this helpful
Splendid game.
this was a nice little game.. its really nothing special, and its quite linear, but the art is pretty and it doesn't overstay its welcome. I think this is prolly a small team's first real game and they put a lot of polish into it but they need more practice at actual game design. still, I enjoyed it, and if you like platformers and get it on sale you will get your money's worth here. my only real gripe is with the handling of the achievements, since collecting all 6 of the macguffins will lock you out of the "collect some of the macguffins" achivement and requires a replay to actually get it. NOTE: I played this game when it released and played it again before this review. the game itself is about 4 hours long.
"Metroidvania-inspired" is heavily misleading. The only thing that's "metroid" about this is the music (which is good, no complains there) and the map-screen. Which only really helps you in finding maybe one or two health upgrades and you only need to come back later to a single one, everything else you get in your first run-through if you're looking for it. This plays like a childs Metroid school project rather than a game sold for money. The "vania" part is missing completely. I dislike waifu-garbage in general, but that girl in the picture is also weirdly false advertising. It's a chibi cat girl with horny proportions (for whatever fkn reason) that says something in the first 10 rooms and then sporadically one line every other 10 rooms. She has so little personality and dialogue that i do not get why they advertise with her. The weird little dog character surrounds you permanently and would be a better fit. The idea of a story is there and could in future games be made into something interesting but i sure won't be playing any of those. If you don't want to think at all and just want something to mindlessly press buttons on for around 4 to 5 hours that only makes you wish y…
