Bioysque is a retro-style Action RPG in a dark bio-horror environment, both sci-fi and fantasy motives. You are always alone and they are always many. Fight surreal creatures, get experience, explore and gather upgrades - get stronger before the next big Boss fight, learn the truth. Win and be rewarded.DEVELOPER'S MESSAGE:
I never intended to make this game. But I saw it in a dream, so I had to make it! For some strange reason, that's pretty rare for me. I have seen about 3 dreams in my whole life (or more likely, those are all I remember). I had to try at least. (time skip here) And here it is. I actually made the game I saw in a dream. What could be more surreal than that?3 MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES:
- Rare - forgotten/unknown - Biopunk Sci-Fi/Fantasy setting; short but multi-layered story
- Unique <direct click> battle system: no time wasted! Hit whatever you see wherever it is!
- Mostly Wall-less level design and portal-based world. *more about it in the section below...
WARNING I:
Exploration done differently, and I think it's preferable to know, before you try the game.- | Most rooms/locations are connected via portals.
- | You always start in the center of the area (room/location).
- | Locations have no real boundaries - they are infinite. (That means: the real content is always close to the center. There is nothing to find on the edges!)
- | The only right way to navigate is finding and following "the guides". Some are actual signposts, some are text hints, some are the paths that creatures follow, etc. Surprisingly, that kind of navigation is much closer to real life, than anything.
WARNING II:
NO GAMEPAD SUPPORT! You have to click rather quickly and with a high precision too. Keyboard and mouse is the only comfortable (and well tested) way to play it.WARNING III:

Oh boy oh boy i kept checking Arkhouse steam page like every month or two in hope of seeing a new game and here it is. The protagonist immediately reminds me of Adol Christin and it's a pleasant surprise to see one of the inspirations is indeed the Ys series. The vibe is excellent as always and I rather enjoyed the point & click combat (though the hurtbox on normal enemies could be a bit bigger). As other reviews have mentioned Bioysque is also his most accessible game yet so this might be a good entry if you want to get into the Arkhouse rabbit hole.3 found this helpful
As with all Arkhouse Telegraph games, it has chunky sprites, weird controls, bizarre worldbuilding and a generally unclear direction - but its heart is in the right place, and you'll never play something else like AT games.1 found this helpful

I would say "Arkhouse delivers again!" but to be entirely honest this is my first game made by this wonder of a developer I have been following them for a while now but never acutally played a game of theirs until this. I saw Astlibra being one of the inspiration (I do feel it) and had to finally dive into their universe. Cant say I am disappointed I really liked it. The weirdness of it is so endearing. Expect me to buy more of games from Arkhouse.1 found this helpful
More people should play Arkhouse Games. I just pray that Arkhouse finds a collaborator who speaks English and wants to create the perfect game with them together. Aside from the immersion breaking translation, I always find it refreshing to play a game that was meant to be art first and formost.1 found this helpful
