Black One Blood Brothers

This is a game that I've followed closely through its development cycle, and occasionally picked up every now and then to see how it's doing. Unfortunately, to me, the screenshots and trailers/previews do a bad job at conveying how the actual game plays. The main focus seems to be on the squad customization. I can see the appeal of a largely fleshed-out "CAG-Barbie Dress-up" aspect, but the actual gameplay doesn't feel like how you would think from the previews. It feels like a weaker version of an early 2000's Tom Clancy game (UI, certain quirks like off-center ADS and mechanics like team-swap/generalized reviving, general AI depth), but with "modern" controls. As nice as it can look in previews, the game still doesn't hold up to what it's trying to be, in my opinion. In a few more years, it might have more polish, and I'll have to check in again. But for now, it's one of those to keep an eye on.

Highly customizable and ambitious early access tactical squad shooter that runs smoother than 90% or games on steam for me. Also, the "early access" title is being pretty modest, this game already has more content than a lot of full AAA games releasing nowadays. Not gonna lie, spending 30 mins/an hour customizing your own squad with matching gear all with different roles and loadouts is hella addicting. Every time I see an update for this game come out, I usually spend the rest of the night sinking hours and hours into it creating a new squad for the update all equipped with the newly released gear. Then I usually hit every single game mode at least once. The squad style tactical missions are where this game really shines. You don't need to play co-op to have competent squadmates either, the AI is highly customizable and you can make them as useful OR as useless as you want. That goes for enemies and neutral factions as well, you can basically create your own difficulty AND mission parameters. Playing exclusively on my steam deck and I love this game. Obviously it’s not optimized but after building a layout it’s really fun. The gunfights feel good and the maps and objectives are awesome. You can build a mission however you like, difficulty, weather, squad size, day or night. The customization is wild. Well worth the money. I have only played about 10 minutes but I can tell this game is good. It's pretty jank at times, but it's early access. I had my team clear a room with flashbang. This is how it went: [list] [*]AI squad member opens door [*]Waits forever to throw flashbang [*]Throws Flashbang [*]Flashbang grenade bounces off of enemy, ricochets outside in front of me [*]Now I'm blind lol [*]Love it [/list] At $17.99 (as of this time of review), it's absolutely worth it. Would 100% recommend if you are fine with early access jankiness at times.

The game is stuck on loading screen, according to websites I should be able to run it so either the minimum system requirements are a lie or something went wrong or whatever
