"Dragon Rising" may be a bit more simplified than the original OPF (2001), but it has its own unique atmosphere that makes me come back to it from time to time. Flawed, but fun, tactical fps. Not quite Call of Duty or Battlefield , but also not ARMA. Slots in as a nice middle ground and intro into the more realistic shooters. Its an enjoyable game, I have well over 500 hours in the XBox 360 version; and roughly another hundred on Steam. Added map editor is quite easy to use.1 found this helpful

I really enjoy the missions and crator, flying is weird but I still enjoy it - my favourite thing in this game is first mission - especially finishing main objectives and then just wondering around, killing enemies at some other places like rocket site etc.
AWSOME
If you like Arma or played Project Reality Battlefield 2 then you probably gonna like this game. The ballistic is on point you really do have to consider your shoots before an engagement. Guns are also modeled nicely, they do look really good. The movement can be weird sometimes and it's really not that fast style game. As for the story it's pretty generic, but PLA army is pretty underused is military games so there is that.
