✦ AI summary

Black Ops 2's single-player campaign is praised for its engaging story with branching narratives and memorable moments, while multiplayer is noted for solid gunplay and the customizable Pick 10 system that defined the series. However, players widely criticize the game's $70 price tag for a 14-year-old title, point to serious security vulnerabilities in multiplayer that expose PCs to malware, and report persistent technical crashes that prevent even campaign access for some users. The gunplay and enemy feedback also feel dated compared to older shooters to some players.

I dont care much about multiplayer or zombies, but there is apparently an exploit that can get your pc hacked in multiplayer and it is a bummer you can only play the campaign or bots safely after purchasing a game that still goes full price more than a decade after its release. Just for that I would advice people not to buy. Now my personal issue with the game is that the single player story is cool and all, full of twists and memorable settings and scenes, but the gunplay feels unimpactful, boring and half cooked. I can expect better weapon handling and enemy ragdolling from Return to Castle Wolfenstein and the first Bioshock than this game, and it is a deal breaker for me that waving a weapon across the screen feels like trying to stir a bot with a row.

Seventy dollars for a nearly 14-year-old game plagued by hackers who will install malware on your PC if you attempt to play online is incredibly greedy. LOWER THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PRICE.

Since the game is having it's moment of second youth now, 14 years after release, I'm here to say to you, dear reader- it's not nostalgia. It really is just that good. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the moment COD reached it's peak, both in quality and popularity. It was the first COD that I've actually waited for, sitting late at night waiting for first trailer to drop. Singleplayer with entertaining, branching story with multiple endings (in COD game!!!!). Multiplayer formula perfected with great gunplay and the Pick 10 System, allowing for massive customisation of your loadout and playstyle. If you haven't played it yet, do it now. If you did? Well, it's time to visit an old friend.

So apparently nothing fixes the "unhandled exception caught" error, and yes, I've tried switching to beta client with no change. I've repaired all the C++ files and have tried every fix I could find online and still nothing. Just to be clear, I'm not even trying to mess around with the ♥♥♥♥ show that is the multiplayer, I just want to play the campaign. Don't buy this unless you want to be $40 lighter.
