About Blockboy and The Wizard
Blockboy and The Wizard is a short linear game about a regular stickman with a square head and a bleak life, who becomes the apprentice of a wizard with no beard and his own brand of soda. The soda thing isn't really important at all, but it's very cool.There is a lot of text, if you are illiterate you won't like it. Well, if you are illiterate you can't read this... Actually, the artwork is insanely gorgeous and can be enjoyed without reading, but the game won't last as long.

- No wizard story game is complete without a villain, a MAGICAL villain who is EVIL
- The rats can talk, they are relevant to the story
- Well not all of the rats can talk, some of them can't talk at all

- The villain is a wizard as well, in a way, but I won't tell you her name, 'tis a secret
- Some of the characters don't have any dialogue, they are basically decorations

I played this on the steam deck and really enjoyed it! The jokes are funny and the art is oddly charming. The game froze a couple times on the deck, but was easily fixed by limiting my fps to 60. 100% recommended!4 found this helpful

Super cute little game, it took me just over an hour to take my time with this one. Don't overlook it because of how it looks, this was seriously funny and adorable. Lots of references to other media, like Lord of the Rings, Zoolander, Series of Unfortunate Events, and possibly even the BBC mini series 'I was a rat' that no else has ever heard of. There's little animations for all sorts of interactions, and the price is right for the run time. There should be more hype around this game, I would absolutely play a series of them. I'm glad I saw it and decided to buy it after watching the silly promo video. Give it a go, it costs barely anything and won't take forever. And dev, I hope you make more of these goofy things!2 found this helpful
