Honestly this should be a live service game with a paid battle pass and also skins that only come in overpriced bundles, then it might be good

life changing.

Bouncing Buds is one of those silly little multiplayer games that I ended up enjoying because it does not take itself seriously at all. I play as a bouncing ball and basically throw myself around the stage while trying to knock out other players, win races or control certain areas. The physics are the main attraction, and watching everyone constantly bounce into walls and each other creates a lot of funny moments. The movement takes a little getting used to because momentum is so important. I cannot simply walk wherever I want, so I have to use the walls, other players and the shape of the environment to control where I end up. I liked that the physics can be used deliberately rather than being completely random. Once I started understanding how the movement worked, bumping into an opponent at just the right angle became surprisingly satisfying. The different game modes also help keep things from feeling too repetitive. Fighter focuses on knocking out opponents, Race is all about reaching the finish first and King of the Hill gives me an area that I need to control. One of the most masterfully crafted games of all time. I kid you not, the feeling I get every time getting on this game is akin to liters of heroin being injected into my veins. There are three beautiful levels that could only be put together by some deity. These minigames put your intellectual and coordinational skills to the extreme. Again, I am asking anyone to please try this game out. Beware that there are very intense withdrawal symptoms after distancing yourself from bouncing buds for a period exceeding 24 hours.
