I came across this game by accident, while scrolling through the seemingly new to me "FMV" category. I was looking at titles like "Command and Conquer" and "Dragons Layer," when I found this title. From the second I watched the really well done trailer, I wrestled back and forth with whether to purchase the game. I ultimately decided to give it a try as the displays of martial arts combat, use of magic, and beautiful cinematography all spoke to things that I like/choose when watching movies. The bonus though for me was that unlike movies where I could merely sit back and watch the story play out as dictated by the already decided upon script, I was able to make impactful choices and navigate the story in the manner as I saw fit. Now, for those who are not new to "FMV" or "RPG" titles, the ability to make choices to guide and immerse yourself in the story is the biggest reason to play the game in the first place. What I didn't realize however, was that unlike most RPG's I have played I have never experienced playing a game that was developed in the manner that this title was, where real actors/actresses were cast in a modern setting.
