✦ AI summary

Players are divided on this sequel's quality. Those enjoying it praise the strong cast performances, authentic period production design, and compelling characters that draw investment, though some note political and historical storytelling bias. Critics point to poor pacing with slow early chapters, weak English translation, cringeworthy acting performances, a distracting romantic subplot that undercuts the main revenge narrative, and various plot inconsistencies.

The leading cast combines strong screen presence with solid performances, while the supporting cast also delivers standout portrayals. The makeup, costumes, and set design from the Republican era are highly authentic, effectively immersing viewers in the story. However, the pacing is slow, with excessive exposition in the first two chapters. The romantic subplot competes with the central revenge narrative, weakening the overall tension, and some scenes contain noticeable plot inconsistencies.

The first game was good, went into this game expecting it to be atleast decent reading the reviews, but it was terrible. Cringeworthy acting, horrible MC, bad english translation. Do not buy.

Although it contains a fair amount of political/historical/cultural bias in the storytelling (which may or may not be everyone's cup of tea), at its heart it still has lots of lovely characters that you hope to get invested in. Fang stands out as my favorite, but its hard to find a character who is not endearing in their own way. Can't wait to play the third game in the series!
