Игра 'Broken Blue' зацепила меня своей мрачной атмосферой и интригующим дизайном мира. Пиксельная графика, несмотря на свою простоту, создает ощущение заброшенности и депрессии, идеально передавая настроение главного героя. Сюжет, хоть и развивается неспешно, постоянно держит в напряжении, заставляя задуматься о мотивах персонажей и последствиях их действий. Геймплейно это смесь исследования и решения головоломок. Мир полон секретов и тайных мест, которые интересно находить, а загадки достаточно сложные, чтобы заставить мозг поработать, но и не настолько, чтобы вызвать фрустрацию. Единственное, что немного расстроило - это некоторая затянутость в середине игры. В целом, 'Broken Blue' - это отличная инди-игра для тех, кто любит атмосферные приключения с глубоким сюжетом. Она оставляет после себя приятное послевкусие и заставляет задуматься о смысле жизни, выбора и его последствиях. Рекомендую к ознакомлению, особенно если вы цените игры с ярко выраженной индивидуальностью и необычным подходом к повествованию.

"Broken Blue" is a rather badly made VR tech demo, and it seems the purpose of this tech demo is to work out how to do VR in such a way that it makes users get sick really quickly. What do you do in the game? You drag yourself around, develop a new appreciation for Dramamine, maybe solve some puzzles if your stomach will hold out... really there's not much here, from bad graphics to basically untested VR mechanics... it's understandable why this failed. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. Really short and the puzzles aren't obvious what to do, but it's free. If you get motion sickness at all then expect to be ill pretty quickly. Other than that, it's something to do for an hour or so.
