BUZZ is a fun and fast paced precision platformer. The funny thing is that it arguably does something that you aren't supposed to do in precision platformers which is have floaty quick momentum controls. The amazing thing is that it actually works so well. Every level is crafted in a way you can often chain together and correct your momentum in wide fluid movements that feels extremely satisfying. I think the main game isn't too difficult in my opinion, barring a couple of the final levels, but the real challenge is getting the collectables. Though those also are a bit of the negative of this game. Most are fine and a good challenge, but as the game progresses, it becomes very unclear how you actually are expected to grab the collectables. I think abyss 10 is the biggest example of this. Even after I 100% the game, I don't think I actually solved that one correctly. The method I used was really inconsistent and arbitrary that I can't imagine it's correct. The levels are amazingly made, there's a lot of fun tricks to complete them extremely fast, and it's not extremely long like some other precision platformers I played. It's a good game to complete in a weekend if you want …4 found this helpful
It's a neat decently sized platformer. The gimmick is fun, and the mechanics introduced throughout were fairly interesting and added more challenge and depth. I like the visuals, they have an interesting vibe to them and I think it's almost silly that the gimmick itself relates to the fact that you are playing as what appears to be a sentient saw. This is definitely a simple game on the surface, but for what it's worth it's solid. All the achievements are good as well. I managed to 100% it and I found nothing wrong or unfair with them. Though the game does have slight issues with difficulty as at least by the end it spikes up more than between the former levels. Maybe by the last like 6 levels or so, but I have also had moments where some levels prior to that would be a breeze while others would give me some trouble. It's possible that was because each level had a different thing to offer but I don't know. Sometimes you also might have to just haphazardly fling yourself across the map just to know what's ahead next time. Maybe a way to look around beforehand like in games such as Celeste would have been neat, but at least I didn't have to rely on this tactic often. Though I do th…1 found this helpful
i suck butt at this. but its great,. kinda like sucking butt
Breezed through the game in then got stuck on Scarlet_02 for 20 minutes. There's no clear way to finish it. Tried to find a guide or play through but there doesn't seem to be one. Showed the game to someone else without mentioning it, they got stuck in the same spot. Gave the game a year long break. Came back, stuck in the exact same spot. Feel like we're missing an essential mechanic to progress. There's no hints, guides, tutorials, or option to skip levels so we're stuck on level 4(?) and locked out of the majority of the game.
A unique puzzle platformer with no platforms and no puzzles. Very Difficult.
Very nice and short but difficult platformer! BUZZ defies the definition or a platformer and foregoes both the jump action and solid platforms. Instead, in BUZZ you make use of buoyancy and bounciness to propel your way through the level. Momentum is highly volatile and you have to be precise to fling yourself forward without hitting the edges of the stage.
