About Camp Keepalive: Endless Summer

This turn-based strategy game is easy to pick up and learn but can get challenging in the best way. The simple graphics keep the game board clean so you can focus on your individual moves, and the humor's pretty good, too. The fonts could stand to be a little bigger when playing on a Steam Deck, but other than that it's a lot of fun on the Deck.3 found this helpful
This game is absolutely delightful with lots of different characters to unlock, medals to achieve, and just a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it and it plays perfectly on the Steam Deck.
I downloaded the original demo for this game years ago on Itch.io I believe? It was fun then and even better now with the inclusion of more characters and levels. I'm kinda biased in my review though because this game was one of my childhood favorites. I had even made a board game version of it back in the day to play with friends. However, I've encountered some problems that need fixin. The Canoodle twins (C&C) and C-500 will break your game from time to time. With the twins, anytime they move the Devourer Swarm (Langoliers) they seem to bug out and freeze the game. You can still exit or restart but it will happen eventually if you use their ability and those monsters are on the map. Same with C-500, I'm not sure what triggers the bug like the swarm for the twins, but sometimes when playing with him it'll freeze. Their the only characters that cause the freezes as far as I've been able to tell. There are a couple levels (Day 17 I think was one of them) that didn't give me my badges after completing the goals. One of the Tremors levels never spawned the worms until well after I was nearing completion. A pretty big problem is that the final level (Day 29) just disapeared on…
Its addictive gameplay loop, charming retro style, and rich horror movie references make it a worthy addition to your Halloween gaming treats.
A great tactics game that kept me entertained on multiple long flights recently. It's got a killer soundtrack and a retro theme with awesome summer horror movie vibes.
