"CampNight" is one of those little inexplicable amateur train wrecks on Steam, a small unambitious "survival" game where you run around and keep a fire running, that's all you do. Do amateur game developers not know that other games exist before slamming down $100 to publish stuff like this through Steam Direct? At best this is just a tiny subset of pretty much every other survival game on Steam, only this one has worse graphics and no optimisation. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. Very fun and creative game. even though it's a small and simple consept I'm really enjoying it!
