Difficulty : 2/5 (Normal) Global : 2/5 (Good) Curator page : Anokturnus Candle Prick is a sokoban puzzle game in which you need to use spears to reach and prick the candle in each level. There are only 2 mechanics in the game : spears and enemies. The spears can be attached to your character and to the enemies, which can also be pierced to create groups of bonded enemies that you can move. This leads to situations that make this game feel like a baby version of Stephen's Sausage Roll. Most of the levels are filler. For a sokoban game, Candle Prick is easy and doesn't need much thinking. There's sometimes an optional objective in the puzzles, but it only rarely increases the difficulty. That's a shame, the game is fun but the lack of real challenge and the low puzzle diversity unfortunately make it pretty forgettable. The mechanics are limited but I'm sure there was much more to do with them. The visuals are confusing, the visibility isn't great and some people might have a lot of trouble distinguishing everything. The optional objectives reward you with various palettes that change the colors of the game,…8 found this helpful
You'll find high-quality level design on this lovely puzzle game. I recommend it very much, especially if you like candles and skewering things. AE PLATINEI O CANDLE PRICK
Sokoban-like with a main gimmick of stabbing, and with it comes directionality, pushing against walls, etc. It vaguely reminds me of Stephen's Sausage Roll. The puzzle design is good, exploring the mechanics well. The main concern is the graphics. It's pixel art using 3 colors. It's definitely a stylistic choice, but that makes it hard to read the state of the level. If the floor had used one color, and the objects another color, I think it would be much more readable. Do I recommend this game? You can look at the screenshots first. If you think you're fine with it, then by all means, it's a puzzle game with an interesting mechanic that's explored well. But I understand if people get a headache looking at this.
Wonderful game. Smart concept, elegant mechanics with only a few rules, great level designs, hard enough to be challenging but can be finished in a few hours. The graphic and sounds are very barebones but they grow on you.
A clever Sokoban game with inventive use of just a few basic mechanics. Very impressive for a first time puzzle game to strike the right balance of being simple enough to solve and difficult enough to make each completed puzzle feel like a victory. It's a real joy sussing out each new mechanic and internalizing it. If there's a complaint to be had, it's that the (optional) palettes aren't that appealing, and you have to pause the game to switch back. Still, a real delight of a game, highly recommended, 8/10
bom jogo de puzzle, as paletas mudarem após desbloqueadas gera certo desconforto visual
