Cards and Castles

Cards and Castles has been one of the best mobile games I have played to date- if not THE best. Do I prefer the Steam version or the mobile? Honestly, steam version leaves some to be desired, it detracts from the mobile enjoyment of playing a quick round, and something is lost in the keyboard and pc screen.... But, that being said, I've played a handful of this style of games, (Clash Royale, Plants vs Zombies etc) but there's something special about the simplicity of this game. Is it unbalanced? Yeah, in some spots. Is it the best game of its kind out there? No. But is it fun? You betcha. Pros: The artstyle is adorable The deck building feels organic and allows for a variety of builds, even with the same source factions The faction variety offers borderline limitless experimentation and the base faction is broad enough you can build a deck from just Villagers and still have a chance at winning. It's not horribly difficult to save up for card packs and even the "pay to play" parts don't offer massive upper hands, honestly mostly just aesthetics. No ads. Free? O.O Give it a try. Wait it out long enough to figure out some strategies and if you enjoy it, watch your hours, it'll…

Literally unplayable. I think the devs pulled the plug, it requires but does not allow a log in.

The game had its fair share of issues, but the raw graphics and unique strategies kept me hooked - I ended up grinding the ladder for hundreds of hours. Eventually, the devs clearly ran out of ideas. They nerfed OTK combos but added zero new content. It was obvious the game would never attract new players without major updates. Now the servers are shut down and the game is dead. Instead of fixing or supporting the original, the developers are pushing their "ULTIMATE" version - which has even worse graphics and no collection transfer. It’s basically a lazy N+ with nothing new and zero effort put in. Good luck, devs. You lost me. Save your time and skip games from these kinds of "passionate" developers.

I normally wait until I perfect games to post a review, but I can't even justify perfected this game. The absolute lack of a timer during battles makes people sit there for ages, making matches take an unfathomable amount of time, making the whole process tedious and not enjoyable at all. Do not recommend unless you enjoy sitting there for 10 minutes admiring the pretty cards whilst your opponent does squat

Игра Cards and Castles – это замечательная смесь коллекционной карточной игры и стратегии в реальном времени. В ней нужно не просто выкладывать карты, а строить базу, размещая здания и юнитов на поле боя. Что мне понравилось: разнообразие фракций с уникальными картами и стилем игры. Каждая фракция предлагает свой путь к победе, что добавляет реиграбельности. Простой, но захватывающий геймплей, который быстро учишь, но сложно освоить в совершенстве. Есть как одиночные кампании, так и мультиплеер. Единственное, что хотелось бы улучшить, это интерфейс, иногда он кажется немного перегруженным. А в остальном, Cards and Castles – отличный выбор для любителей ККИ и стратегий. Рекомендую!
