This is the best tactical card game I have played so far! I have reached the top rank in several other games, hitting Rank 1 in Faeria and Duelyst, and reaching Legend in Hearthstone. I have also dabbled in Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!, though more on the casual side.Cards and Castles Ultimate is by far the deepest, most tactical, and fun game I've ever experienced. A lot of thinking is involved, yet the game itself remains pretty simple. The depth and complexity come from the fact that you play on a literal board, combined with the wide variety of card effects.For instance, you can resurrect units and trigger effects from the graveyard—literally, tombs spawn behind your castle when your units die, and you have to defend them. You can also combine colors (factions) just like in Magic, and to top it all off, the graphics are really cute!The game was released recently and still needs a bit of polish, as I have encountered a few minor bugs. However, the developers are very active on Discord and their Steam pages, so I am confident they will fix these issues. Its okay might as well try it out
Fun card game. You must be very strategic when you place and move your units and the timing of your spells, patience is rewarded. Building decks is easy and very entertaining.
Never played the previous Cards & Castles games but I tried this one the day it came out. I've ended up playing it every single day since then, not even just for dailies because I could save those up but instead I just enjoy playing the game everyday. It's replaced Hearthstone as my go to TCG. I love the way this game handles the board and unit positioning, it feels deeper than Hearthstone and less serious than Hearthstone at the same time. I'm a big fan of the ways in which stuff can get a little crazy here. The Rampage and Cleave mechanics make great use of the way the board works here. It's pretty viable to be Free To Play here too so I'd recommend just giving it a go if you like card games. Leaving a review simply because the only negative is it would be cooler with a bigger playerbase, so maybe this contributes to that :3
Just as good as the previous entries of the game. Great mix of card games and turn based strategy.
