this game is super easy, most dialogues are hilarious and no need for grinding except you wanna get all badges. I think it's still in development so plot is totally incomplete tho (Presumably Ep 1 only 15% of the whole game). Await for Episode 2/3/4/5/final to come out

Castle of the Underdogs is much better than it has a right to be, as it's pretty funny all around and even has some more advanced JRPG accessibility features, like indications whether an NPC has anything new to say. The very tight field of view in a low poly 3D display makes me exceedingly nauseous, but as long as you don't typically have those types of issues, it's an easy recommend.

I can't recommend Castle of the Underdogs enough. It's zany in all the right ways- strangely compelling while remaining lighthearted and difficult to put down. It teases a Suikoden-like premise, introducing a number of quirky characters, some of which can be added to your party along the way, the remainder slowly settling into your ruins of a castle with the promise of shops, armories and even puzzle mini-games. Hikaru, the main character, makes for a relatively chaotic protagonist, but never quite crosses into the territory of annoying, making her perspective rather enjoyable to play. Of the cast of characters we meet, I find myself particularly partial to "Spoiler Joe", a young man in a turquoise zip-up who boldly introduces himself as someone whose friends hate him. CotU also features a creative "corb" system- somewhere between Suikoden's rune system and the Final Fantasy VII's materia- allowing you to create corbs of specific spells or skills and then transfer them to new party members. There is a lot of depth to explore here and it promises for incredible flexibility in team building and strategy. This appears to be incredibly useful in the game's engaging battle system, whe…
