About Castle War
In this real time strategy game, defeat your friends by destroying their castle. The last player with their castle still standing wins!
Players must manage their economy, build their base and defenses, while producing and upgrading their units.
Build:
-House: generates money
-Forge: generates iron and upgrades your army's armor (3 different armor types: blunt, piercing, and slashing)
-Pillar: generates magic and enchants targeted unit, so that they bypass enemy non-magic armor.
-Barracks: recruit and upgrade soldier soldier
-Archery range: recruits and upgrades archers
-Foundry: recruits and upgrades canons
-Wizard tower: recruits and upgrades wizards.
-Defensive Tower: shoots 3 arrows at enemies in the vicinity.
-Walls: blocks unit movement.
-Gate: A wall that can let units go through
Produce your army from a range of 4 different units:
-Archer: attacks from afar with piercing damage but are more accurate at close range.
-Soldier: attacks with slashing damage, have higher HP and armor and can change their weapon type to counter their opponent's armor-type
-Canon: attacks from a long range causing blunt damage, effective at taking down enemy defenses.
-Wizard: attacks from medium-range, causing blunt damage and can cast powerful fireballs and defensive shields at the cost of MP.
Upgrade your army: -There are 3 types of armor upgrades (blunt, piercing, slashing) available to your army, try to upgrade the right ones to counter your opponent's army.
-You can also level up your army's units, which will improve their attack power and max health
-the cost of upgrades depends on the number of units you own.

This game cannot be played as intended.[/quote] This is just a really simple barebones RTS that looks and feels like someone got a low poly Unity castle builder set and dropped the assets onto an RTS blueprint. It's clunky and badly assembled and has all the hallmarks of a Unity kitbash... and the lack of polish and low quality everywhere certainly was a leading cause of this failing. So, "Castle War" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! [i]Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails.[/i] Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result.
