Cat Memories - Find the Hidden Stories

I do wish that we could get to see more from this studio. When I checked, I saw that they only made a small number of games, and I think that is a shame. They are so well made, with quotes around their map for you to read while looking for cats. This one is on the sadder side, since it is an afterlife-themed map. I left it on a sad note when I finished this one, so please give it a try; it is well made and very thoughtful around this topic.

It's a beautiful drawn game, I love a lot about it. But the memories, I can't read those.... It breaks my heart. The achievement for opening them all wasn't easy, and I'm sure better if I could actually read the lovely stories that these cats had with their humans. This game has plants, gravestones, tree holes, curtains, all kinds of things, that need to be interacted with to find the spirit kitties. Those then transfer to a visible kitty somehere on the map, when you find them you'll get a scroll with their story on the map. The stories I've read are from the cats perspective how their life was. Other than that you have so search for symbols, which unlock 5 doors, then those doors mirror a part of the map where you can find a key. All the doors unlock to yet more memories. Achievements are clear and obtainable. I can find cats easily, but pieces of a map..... never knew that could be so hard. Do not recommend playing this game if you're grief-stricken with the loss of a pet. Unless reading lovely memories from a cats perspective is healing to you.

Very short, sweet hidden object game. Not gonna lie, I cried a little at the end and hugged my cats. One of them appreciated it, at least.

Recommended! :) Play time at review represents how long it took for me to complete the game and get 100% achievements. I was enthralled by the free-to-play [b]Kittenrock Cats[/b], so I bought the developer's entire catalog. As one does, haha. This one is cute, but quite bittersweet. Having already played three of their other games, I recognized some of the referenced place names from those game maps, so I'm assuming the stories were generally fictional. Regardless, I did shed a couple tears. The gameplay is very calming if the spirit cats talking about their past lives won't completely break your heart.

I love these types of games but man, this one brought me to tears as I unveiled each and every memory. I've been through losing pets and it hurts. I lost two kitties in 2021 and a whole year went by before I adopted again. Playing this game made me think of all the memories I have with my previous fur babies. Even though I have new kitties in my life now, I still remember the ones before. Play this adorable game with its pretty music and keep a box of tissues nearby, you're gonna need it.
