About CDF Ghostship
CDF Ghostship is a science-fiction Old-style FPS shooter featuring an open-world spaceship and random stories, enemies and objectives. Each new game will offer a challenge with random story-lines and narrative, random enemies and multiple endings. Can you escape the Ghostship?
ABOUT THIS GAME
Over 350 years in the future mankind has embraced space travel and exploration. We have colonized many worlds and spread ourselves across the galaxy. The Colonial Defense Force (CDF) is responsible for the security of Earth and her colonies, and our only line of defense against the unknown.
On March 1st 2368 contact was lost with our most distant colony, located in the Icarus system. Two days later the Dreadnought class spaceship CDF Goliath was dispatched to investigate. Experience the events that transpire as a Marine on the boarding party to the Icarus 3 Space Station and as a pilot returning from another mission a few days later.

This is a perfect example of why I try to give every game that looks interesting a chance: sometimes I find something I really like that is very unpopular. I was able to finish the game with the ASMI ending (which is terrible, but more on that later) in 3.2 hours, so the game is pretty short. However, it's pretty replayable which I will touch on. So what this is, basically, is a very stripped-down System Shock 2 with randomized elements. Before you get too excited, I mean the plot and shooting is reminiscent of system shock 2, not anything else. The ship is made of 23 maps that I know of, and you shuffle between them trying to complete objectives to reach your desired ending. Resources respawn in the same places but enemies are randomized, which means victory can sometimes feel like a crapshoot or that the developer didn't want to properly balance the game. There are a lot of environmental cues to pick up on and exploration is required to find different items, audio logs or characters. All of the voice acting is amateur and the audio logs are local to the terminal they are accessed on so you can't play audio logs while you continue to play, which is not good. ITS WAY TO SHORT AND IT GLITCHES ALOT ITS A GOOD GAME BUT NEEDS TO BE REMADE AND ALOT OF CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS AND INSTEAD OF HAVEING IT CHANGE EVERYTIME A NEW GAME KEEP IT SAME AND HAVE A STRIGHT 10 OR 12 CHAPTER CAMPAGIN GOING DO ALL THIS AND THEN MY REVIEW MIGHT BE BETTER1 found this helpful
If you wanna try to beat the single player campaign before you can't refund, you can't. There are two separate time locks in game; one you have to listen to 9 captain logs fully as a quest objective which takes about 10 minutes, and secondly when you have to return to the ship you need to wait 2 real hours for the ship to be in position... which, by the way, is not backed by any content, you just stand there... not menacingly. Even if the game was excellent, a 2 hour piss break is just... why? However, you don't have to play the campaign! Just play the other game modes, which are acceptable but deeply flawed.
I'm waiting for a game to dl , was scrolling thru and found this one. I only played .1hrs apparently. Watched a trailer and it really looks like a great game. Read some reviews. Mostly bad. 1 person CAN do all the work to make a successful game. What makes it NOT, is the pressure for release before it is ready. it is def NOT the programmers fault. This happens ALL the time. It still looks like a great game and is sad and unfortunate the Programmer wasn't given the time needed. I haven't reinstalled but just wanted to say great effort on trying.
Looks great, but isnt, could do with a serious overhaul, particularly in relation to aiming, the iron sights are anything but accurate, and the weapons with tac sights miss, better off just waiting until the bugs get close and then open fire. Over all a shame as it could have been a really good survival horror game set on a massive ship!
Great game with an immersive storyline and can also be challenging at times; making sure to plan ahead etc...
