An addicting dungeon crawler that is very simple in term of controls. It is so much fun to play and each dungeon is a new adventure. I love the different characters and new skills they bring. It's never tiring trying out the different parties that you can create. It is also a great game to play when dozing off in class (I totally don't know this from experience).4 found this helpful
Simple yet fun Roguelike Dungeon Crawler. You have a set of heroes that you choose from and upgrade. When heroes die, that does not mean it is game over. You get more and more heroes as you play, and you can have more than one of the same heroes. Each hero has a unique ability, and some are sometimes more useful than others. You might not think the ability is great, but it is sometimes. As you play, you get items that help either a hero or the whole party, depending on whether the item is equipped on the hero or not. You can switch around things between floors in the dungeon. There is meta progression, and I know some people do not like that, yet I am okay with it in this game. Yes, you will not win a run without it. This game is really fun and I'm curious to see how far the devs can take it. Definitely recommend if you like older turn-based maze crawling rpgs2 found this helpful
It's generally alright. It's finished and runs on a potato. But it's hard to recommend anywhere near the full 15 GBP price. There isn't much variety or strategy involved. You go into the dungeon, you grind a few levels, leave and level up a bit. Some way down the line you work out which character skills are better than others, but by then you've probably had enough.1 found this helpful
This game is like a mix between D&D and Binding of Isaac. It's a lot of fun and I was pleasantly surprised by all of the meta progression. You can find characters while exploring the dungeon, and they join you back at your camp. You can then upgrade those characters every time you get back to your camp. Those same characters can then join you again when you explore the dungeon. However, if you're not careful, you can permanently lose your characters that you have grown attached to and upgraded. That makes choosing to advance into a dungeon a much more important decision. The game play is simple but done well. I would definitely recommend this if you like turn based roguelikes with meta progression and dungeon diving.
This game had potential. The pixel art is pretty charming, and the gameplay reminds "Dungeon of the Endless" in a good way. However, it seems the developer chose to ruin it by making it a grind journey where you'll invariably lose early until you've upgraded your characters enough in the hills between the runs.
