I'm a solo dev and I just want to make sure my next game is better and would like some input from you. I see you played for 12 minutes. What is unintuitive about the game? Did you mean the opponent's AI, the list of abilities, or something else? Again, I'm not mad about the negative review, I just want to learn and make it better. Thanks.” Me: “Primarily the UX and the list of abilities. It is overwhelming, or introduced in an overwhelming way. I would prefer a visual or interactive tutorial—“show, don’t tell”. That’s just my tactile-kinesthetic learning style, but then again there isn’t anything more tactile-kinesthetic than a videogame. Additionally, a more gradual and linear introduction. I know it might seem counterintuitive but sometimes rails can be helpful, so long as they’re optional and not overbearin…

welp relearning chess I guess lol

A hundred stages, A new perspective on playing Chess. Other than the usual rules and move, Innovative skills from the pieces makes the game much challenging and menacing. Once grasping the essence of the skills, the board is an onslaught. Enjoyable and time well spent.

This game is a really fun way to challenge your brain. I've seen some people complain about the difficulty, but if it easy, is it fun? rating: 9/10 (only thing I would change is that we are told that the enemy can use the special abilities as well, other than that 10/10 would play again) If you enjoy chess but want a fun twist, try this game out, worth it even at full price.

Simple yet intriguing game with ways to cheese the AI while also find ways for the AI to screw you! The game gives Chess a whole new way to play, giving a bit of a puzzle rpg vibe when going through missions and dungeons. The Ai is far from flawless as it makes some questionable decisions sometimes, but overall the challenge remains there. I wish we could get more dungeons or maybe an AI hard mode after beatign everything to trult challenge ourselves. Well worth the 5 bucks or 99 cents when it goes on sale.
