Chezzle is a minimalist free browser game that's been dumped on Steam as a cash grab. It's a basic browser game that looks and feels like a mobile app (but apparently was never accepted by Apple or Google as they maintain quality control). It's a minimalist "Chess" themed puzzle that has little to no bearing on Chess, it's a pathing/placement game where you move pieces (in ways completely unlike Chess, for example, all pieces can jump over other pieces like Knights... they never played Chess before making this browser game, evidently). From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. This is a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics ph…

Great take on the classic game of chess. Very relaxed game play, and wonderfully chill music, creates a very zen experience.

Steam Review: Chezzle - A Hidden Indie Gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stumbled upon Chezzle, and I’m so glad I did! This game is a unique blend of chess and puzzle mechanics that offers a refreshing take on both genres. For just $0.99, it’s an absolute steal! Chezzle presents players with endless chess-based puzzles where you don’t just play against opponents—you actually become the pieces you capture! Each time you make a capture, your active piece transforms into the captured piece, requiring you to strategize and adapt your moves. Planning out your actions and watching the board transform as you clear pieces is incredibly satisfying. The game elegantly balances accessibility and depth, making it perfect for newcomers and seasoned chess enthusiasts. The calming aesthetics and the strategic gameplay create a meditative atmosphere that I enjoy. I lose track of time as I engage in quick, focused sessions that feel relaxing and mentally stimulating. With modest system requirements, it runs smoothly even on low-end setups, making it accessible to a broader audience. While the game may lack multiplayer options and specific, varied modes, I believe it shines in its simplicity and unique mech…

Is good to practice deep calculation in chess, not a very big challenge, but is enough for begginers.

I enjoyed playing this game. The levels are not too difficult and while they do get a bit harder as you progress it is nothing exceedingly difficult. While some knowledge of chess may help you, the game does let you know where your piece can move. Being able to jump over pieces is a nice twist on classic chess while adding just a bit more to the difficulties of some puzzles.
