Chicken with Chainguns

Absolute crap. I just don't know what else to say about it, the trailer speaks for itself.

Chicken with Chainguns is a game about a chicken with a chaingun getting revenge on a Fox for destroying their eggs. The game has nice music, easy controls, and other animals and signposts that either give backstory to the game, or help with directions on locating hearts, or other miscellaneous stuff. While the price is a bit expensive for what you get, arguably a flash game, there are far worse games that cost more. While the game has quite a few positives, there's one major negative that ruins all of that, and that is the size of the game. The developer has claimed this game has 228 different rooms, however without the use of a map, you'll spend more than half of your overall time backtracking. This game at most should take less than an hour to complete, Yet I've spent more time than that wondering around revisiting the same room multiple times, added with the slowness of the chicken and the long pause it takes to go from one room to another, this becomes a boring, time consuming game.

"Chicken with Chainguns" is yet another of literally hundreds of lazy amateur 2D retro top-down shooter/brawlers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one is particularly badly made, being a kind of Binding of Isaac ripoff, but much much worse in all respects. You can only shoot in the four cardinal directions, there's no mouse control. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
